Areas of Practice
Liam practices in the areas of business law, residential and commercial real estate, and estate-planning.
Liam assists business owners with incorporating new businesses, drafting shareholder or partnership agreements, contract drafting and review, business reorganizations, and business purchase and sale. He also assists in residential and commercial real estate transactions, acting in property purchases, sales, and refinances as well as subdivisions, leasing, and private mortgages. For individual clients, he also assists with estate-planning needs including the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and representation agreements. Prior to joining Hammerberg Lawyers, Liam consulted for start-up mining and technology companies, where he gained valuable insight into the inner-workings of early growth-stage companies. He also worked for a multi-practice Vancouver law firm and spent a few years as a sole practitioner, with a focus on small business law, real estate, and estate-planning. Having worked for new businesses, as well as having been a small business owner himself, Liam understands that business owners require practical solutions for their legal issues. He is passionate about providing accessible and approachable advice to his clients, and using technology wherever possible to improve client convenience and satisfaction. In his free time, Liam enjoys hiking, cooking, craft beer, and reading in his garden. He is also actively involved in the legal technology and small business communities.
