CHANGES IN EFFECT AS OF 5:00 PM ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18, 2020:
- Our office will be closed to visitors and entry will be by way of appointment only.
- Hammerberg LLP employees will be working remotely.
As global concern regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to evolve, we would like to share with you the steps we are taking to protect the health and safety of our employees and clients, while ensuring our continued ability to meet your legal needs.
We are closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 and have put in place the recommendations made by healthcare authorities both within Canada and globally to safeguard the health and well-being of our community. Our contingency plans are designed to ensure we are prepared to maintain the delivery of services with minimal disruption on service levels.
As a valued client, rest assured that we are being vigilant and proactive by taking all necessary precautions to ensure your safety.
Our office will be closed as of 5:00 PM on March 18, 2020. We will operate with minimal, essential services staff on a rotating schedule to meet our clients’ needs, however, all of our lawyers, paralegals and legal assistants have been mandated to work from home to ensure their continued health and protect our clients via social distancing. Our lawyers have continual access to their email, whether inside the office or not, and we do not anticipate any service disruptions.
All of our lawyers’ phone numbers and email addresses are listed on our website at hammerco.net under Our Firm > Our People. If you reach the voicemail of someone in our office and they are working from home, they will automatically receive a recording of your message by email, so please do continue to use this facility.
We are asking our clients to forego in-person meetings in favor of email communications and telephone calls wherever possible and we are ready to serve you. Should you choose to send your inquiry by email, please include your name, contact information, file number and a brief description of your inquiry, and one of our legal representatives will get back to you in a timely manner.
We will continue to monitor the changing circumstances and will post further updates if our position in this regard changes.
We hope that by providing you with the above information, we have been able to alleviate some of your concerns during this challenging time. We wish you, your family and your associates continued health and resilience.
