We are looking for individuals to join our Personal Injury division as part of our specialized records desks. In this role you will work alongside the Legal Administrative Assistants, requesting and following up on record requests, noting up and serving documents, and ensuring files have all of the necessary documentation to progress the client’s personal injury claim.
We are currently seeking an Intermediate Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Personal Injury division. In this role, you will interact with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, medical practitioners and others as need be; request medical documents, employment documents, and all other supporting documents; set client appointments; draft LOD’s, letters to medical practitioners and other court documents as necessary; trial prep as necessary; manage Part VII benefits; and undertake the general management of personal injury files and other duties as required by the Partner.
We are looking for a Practicum Student to support our Personal Injury division. Some of the responsibilities under this role include: opening new client files; requesting and following up on records; noting and preparing serving records; and photocopying and scanning legal records.

We are currently expanding our Wills and Estates practice with the addition of an experienced Litigator on either a full or part-time basis. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years’ litigation experience, and must have experience with Estates Litigation. We can offer senior practitioners applying an ideal environment in which to transition to retirement. All candidates should have excellent academic and professional credentials. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting skills, excellent legal knowledge in this area as well as being driven to provide exceptional client service.

Our articling student positions are currently filled. Hammerberg Lawyers LLP believes in giving back to the legal profession by teaching and mentoring law students. We regularly provide articling opportunities to up-and-coming lawyers. While articling, our students gain valuable experience and develop their skills through working on a variety of files and interacting with clients.
