One of the fulfilling aspects of my day is to ensure that we help individuals deal with the bureaucracy of large insurance companies. This procedure can be very intimidating to the average person. I have patience gained from my experience and tenacity to fight for your interests.

The client-lawyer relationship should be based on mutual trust and understanding. We work exclusively on a contingency fee basis—hence, we do not recover a fee unless we are successful. Furthermore, we are not paid until a client’s case is resolved. Accordingly, we have every interest in ensuring that the case is brought to a just conclusion in a timely fashion. We have no incentive to waste your time.

One of the most rewarding aspects of our profession is having the opportunity to change law that leads to improved safety, while providing fair and appropriate compensation for the traumatically injured throughout British Columbia.

I have been instrumental in effecting several important changes concerning the use of automobiles and related safety issues in British Columbia. I was lead Counsel on a case that paved the way for a change in the law requiring that all children be restrained in infant carriers or booster seats.

I believe in having a strong sense of community involvement. I have been actively involved with the youth of B.C. for over 15 years, coaching in the sport of soccer at a high level. The tactical approach in a soccer game complements my experience of tactically planning and directing successful litigation.

We have very limited advertising needs as our practice is intentionally based upon referrals. That is the best advertising of all. Steering a client through complex litigation—while being able to maintain their personal dignity—is essential to a client’s satisfaction with their lawyer and the legal process.
