FAQs: Personal Injury & ICBC Claims

  1. Do I have to sign the documents presented by the Insurance Adjuster?
No. One of our lawyers will initially review all the paperwork with you at no cost.
  2. Do I have to accept the Insurance Adjuster's assessment of liability?
No. Only a Court can finally determine liability. Adjusters' assessments are often overturned.
  3. Is the adjuster really "my adjuster" if the other driver is at fault?
No. The adjuster is appointed by the insurance company for the at fault driver to address your pain and suffering and income loss.
  4. If the responsible driver does not have insurance, am I covered?
Probably. One of our lawyers will explain the full effect of your insurance policy, all government and insurance benefits available, and the impact of "Underinsured and Uninsured Motorist Protection."
  5. Do I need a lawyer immediately after an accident?
You would be well served to understand your rights from the beginning. Our lawyers can help you deal with the bureaucracy of the large insurance companies.

We are experienced trial lawyers and have handled many thousands of cases. In fact, our lawyers have over 70 years cumulative experience in dealing with the ICBC and other insurance companies.
  8. I do not speak fluent English. Can you assist me?
Yes. We will provide translation services of any language, at no cost to you, for all cases on which we are retained.
